Citrus groves and cattle land cover most of Hardee County, and the Peace River runs through it from north to south. Blue Nose Aerial Imaging of Tampa Bay flies commercial and agricultural buildings across the county, including sites in Wauchula, Bowling Green, and Zolfo Springs.

Barn roofs, packing houses, and cold storage
Large metal barn roofs are common across the county. After a wind event, the damage on a metal roof usually shows up as lifted panels or loose fasteners along the ridge, and a flight records the whole roof without a ladder.
Citrus packing houses and cold storage buildings carry low-slope roofs. On those roofs, a thermal flight shows wet insulation that the roof surface hides.
Solar arrays and public buildings
Ground-mount solar sites on open land suit a thermal flight, which shows panels running hotter than the rest of the array. Municipal and school buildings in Wauchula, Bowling Green, and Zolfo Springs also need regular roof checks, and a drone flight covers those roofs the same way.
Wind and rural launch conditions
Ian brought strong inland winds across Hardee County in September 2022, and straight-line winds from summer storms cause smaller damage most years. Rural sites bring their own planning, because power lines, towers, irrigation equipment, and livestock all shape where we launch. Large properties often take several flight blocks, and we plan the order of those blocks before we arrive. Most of the county sits outside controlled airspace, and we still check every site before a flight.
What we fly in Hardee County
We fly every service we offer across Hardee County. Most of our work in Hardee County is roof inspections on barns and packing houses, and thermal inspections on solar arrays and low-slope roofs. After wind events, we document storm damage across the property.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can a drone inspect a large metal barn roof after a storm?
A drone flight records the full roof in one visit, including the ridge and the panel laps where wind damage usually starts. The owner’s roofer confirms the damage on site before repairs.
Do you fly solar arrays in Hardee County?
We fly thermal inspections on ground-mount solar sites. The thermal imagery shows panels running hotter than the rest of the array, and the solar technician confirms each one.
Do livestock or farm equipment affect the flight?
Power lines and livestock affect where we launch and how we route the flight. We plan around them before the visit and coordinate with the property owner on the day.
